I’m Shannon, and I started Go Greater Grants Consulting (G3C) because I have seen how easily strong and promising ideas can be overlooked simply because their significance is difficult to communicate.
True funding strategy requires understanding the full landscape. Across scientific research, federal agencies, and international nonprofits, I’ve seen what makes proposals succeed and where strong ideas could fall short. G3C brings those perspectives together to help mission-driven organizations build stronger, more credible cases for support.

My perspective was shaped long before I became a professional grant writer.
As a biomedical scientist, I wrote scientific grants, conducted grant-funded research and learned how evidence is developed and communicated to funders.
In a government agency, I developed the case that secured $15M for a clinical trial.
As a contractor for a different government agency, I designed a $205M cooperative agreement and later joined that agency to lead that same award as a federal technical authority.
Today, I develop LOIs, complex proposals and reports for a global nonprofit organization.
As a volunteer, I also review unsuccessful grant applications to pinpoint gaps and refine positioning.
Lastly, I advise emerging nonprofit and faith-based organizations as they prepare for pursuing future funding opportunities.
